Where has all the cheap energy gone?
Of lots of money, why have I none?
It's always raining, like the sun's never shone
Winter is long, it keeps hanging on.
Supermarket prices rise, like they're never done.
You have to take out a mortgage for a coffee and a bun.
Don't mention holidays, flying is no fun.
And my summer clothes will never stun.
Instead, like a hermit, I just live like a nun.
Counting my blessings and praying for everyone.
I look after my cats, who have me under their thumb.
I love them dearly, just need a Pepsi Max and some rum.
