#NaPoWriMo #April #2023
Here’s our (optional) prompt for the day. Begin by reading June Jordan’s “Notes on the Peanut.” Now, think of a person – real or imagined – who has been held out to you as an example of how to be of live, but who you have always had doubts about. Write a poem that exaggerates the supposedly admirable qualities of the person in a way that exposes your doubts.
Happy writing!
❤️l don't want to use this prompt today, I don't like tearing things down, so I am writing a Triolet about The Goddess❤️
Goddess - A Triolet
Maiden Goddess, mother and crone.
The Goddess lives through three ages.
She is of blood and of white bone.
Maiden Goddess, mother and crone.
Fire, water, earth, air, crystal stone.
From her story she turns pages.
Maiden Goddess, mother and Crone.
The Goddess lives through three ages.
She rises in each woman's breast.
Like a fiery Phoenix, she flares.
The spark within like a wave's crest.
She rises in each woman's breast.
Divine feminine in love dressed.
In motherhood, she truly cares.
She rises in each woman's breast.
Like a fiery Phoenix, she flares.
