#NaPoWriMo #April #2023
Today’s challenge asks you to write a poem that contains the name of a specific variety of edible plant – preferably one that grows in your area. (That said, if you’re lacking inspiration, online seed catalogs provide a treasure trove of unusual and charming names for vegetables, fruits and flowers. Here’s one to get you started.) In the poem, try to make a specific comparison between some aspect of the plant’s lifespan and your own – or the life of someone close to you. Also, include at least one repeating phrase.
Happy writing!
❤️This was quite a challenge and I had a cup of Mugwort tea to coax my muse into life and assist me. This is written in 4 unrhymed quatrains and has a repeating unrhymed couplet after each quatrain.❤️✍️❤️📚❤️🫖❤️☕❤️⏳❤️
Mugwort - Witches' Tea
Artemesia Vulgaris or Mugwort its common name,
is a plant whose leaves can be made into tea.
It is a woman's health go-to for menstruation,
childbirth, and menopause as well as relieving anxiety.
Witches have always taken mugwort infusions,
for lucid dreaming and astral traveling.
It was originally named for the Greek Goddess
of the hunt, Artemis who was the twin sister of Apollo.
She was also a lunar Goddess and protector of children.
She remained a maiden and never married.

as we follow the wheel of the year.
We are connected in this Divine Universe.
