Being Kind - A Prose Poem.
'Being kind to be made law' the headlines will scream. Yes, you heard me right, and no this is not a terrible dream. The Climate Change Party have siphoned off enough votes from the major parties and joined together with the Greens.
How will they police it? That is a good question to ask but nobody knows.
The police will have to be kind too, so how will they police themselves; so the problems grow.
I think it is a brilliant idea, but being kind is subjective, I see problems with the application, people could come to blows!
Grumpy and curmudgeonly older men and women will face a ban. Those monosyllabic teens who drive you mad, they would not be able to make a stand.
If all those Covid-19 volunteers were appreciated they would be a much happier band.
We would have to ban comedians who slag people off. People who don't wear face masks even when they have a cough. Of course it'll have to go to the lords, rich people aren't kind in general are they - no, they'll see it off.

And now, on to our (optional) prompt. Todayβs prompt comes from the Instagram account of Sundress Publications, which posts a writing prompt every day, all year long. This one is short and sweet: write a poem in the form of a news article you wish would come out tomorrow.
Happy writing!
