About Poetry – How to Write a Treochair☘️

This is how to write a treochair poem.

The triplet or tercet stanzas have an ABA rhyme scheme, a 3, 7, 7 syllable count, and alliteration.

• It is written in usually 3 tercets ( three line stanzas).
• There are 3 syllables in the first line.
• There are 7 syllables in lines, 2 and 3. (3/7/7)
• There is an A/B/A rhyme pattern. So line 1 rhymes with line 3.
• Treochair contains alliteration.
