The dawn light is coming as I lie without sleep.
Soon the dawn chorus will join the light.
The birds singing with joy at the birth of a new day.
I have not been idle during the sleepless hours, I have written several poems. Still, I would rather have slept, for I need sleep to help heal my mind and body.
I know what I have to do - attend to my sleep hygiene, sometimes, it's just not that easy.
