The author, Jacqueline Ward, puts you right in the mind of Jan Pearce's police life as she wrestles with the problems of missing children which is her specialization. We also come to know of her missing son as she tries to put him at the back of her mind as she concentrates on finding the missing children.
Jacqueline writes pacy novels that make you think and feel what her three-dimensional characters are going through. Well-plotted, the story keeps you avidly reading until the conclusion. Expect lots of late-night reading! I recommend this box set to anyone who enjoys crime novels with a psychological twist.
