#justsaying
I think most of us who have served their country in a theatre of war are of the opinion that war is never the answer. No one wins in a war. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers on both sides, end up dead. Then the warring countries have to sit down with each other and negotiate peace.
When someone, like Russia, like Hamas perpetrate atrocities on the Ukrainian people and the Isreali people then they retaliate and one can understand why. We have to stand up to bullies, to inhuman people who follow no rules of war.
Like Putin, like Hamas. These people have no regard for human life.
When is enough, enough? How many Ukrainian civilians and soldiers must die? How many ordinary Russian conscripts and soldiers must die to satisfy enough?
How many more Palestine women and children must die, how many male civilians? How many young, idealistic Isreali soldiers must die?
We turn the news off as we don't know what to do. Or we doom scroll through the worsening news, waiting for the various governments to announce WWIII!
There is something we can all do, no matter what religion we are, or even if we are Atheist. We can pray. We can dedicate five minutes a day and pray for peace in Ukraine, in Gaza, in Sudan and in various African countries which are plagued with factional wars.
Prayer, that is simple and to the point. I give you my example. You may use it, or write your own. Make your words resound with your intention.
My Prayer for World Peace
As an ordinary person of this planet
I pray for peace throughout our world.
I pray that the rapes and killings will stop.
I ask that we all learn to live together.
In peace and harmony, seeking our
commonalities
Rather than our differences.
I pray for world-wide healing and understanding.
Putting our faith in the Universal Consciousness,
And bringing light to the evil and darkness.
I raise my vibration so that all mankind
Can live together in peace and concord
(Amen) (So shall it be)(Shalom)(Namaste)
