Well, here we are at the end of April 2024, NaPoWriMo. I have a file of 30 poems that I have written to the 2024 prompts from the Glo/NaPoWriMo site run by the lovely Maureen Thorsen.
It has been inspiring, interesting, entertaining and knowledgeable. I have learned some new poetic forms, like the American sonnet and anaphora. I have also written some old favourites, like sijo, shadorma, and skeltonic verse.
I hope to do it all again next year even though I have slipped behind on a couple of days this year. My chronic fatigue is bad this year so I have struggled a bit.
However, I am pleased to have done it and look forward to next year!
