Getting old is really sh*t
Especially when once fit
Every limb is a painful bit
of a body that was not well knit.

It's coming apart at the seams
unravelling those lovely dreams
of getting back into a pair of jeans.
I am full of meds and vaccines.

Just to keep body and soul alive.
Social life has taken a swan dive.
When they tell me to take five,
I need more like fifty-five!

So what the hell, I intend to live
what life I have, not just survive 
But really feel that I am alive.
I'm re-setting my internal drive.
