Promises, promises, the politicians make promises.
Do they keep them when they get
in power?
Lies, lies, they tell whopping great
lies.
They pontificate and never give a yes or no answer.
They've even got a term for it, political spin.
Vote for us, they say, we stand for blah, blah, and blah.
Vote for us, but they don't tell us the truth.
The politicians want power and to make money.
We will keep you safe, say one lot while leading us to war.
We stand for working people, say the other lot.

What about us, the disabled, the old, the young unemployed?
Who stands for us, who will make our lives better?
