My postal vote arrived and sat on the mantelpiece for days while I wrestled with my conscience. What would Annie Kenney say? Her statue stands outside the former town hall, in my home town, Oldham. She fought so hard for votes for women. To not vote would be a betrayal.
Neither Labour or the Conservatives are fit to rule this country and it's forecast for Labour to win. Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister just doesn't inspire my confidence.
Voting for one of the other parties is considered a waste of a vote but they would say that wouldn't they?
At last I make my mind up, mark the ballot with an X and seal the envelopes up. Oh, you think I should tell you who I voted for? That would defeat the point of a secret ballot wouldn't it?
