first time - smart Kitty

with his echo
the child plays, then the Harvest
moon rises - bed time

moon rises, bed time
beckons, longed for sleep escapes
me - counting sheep

me, counting sheep
thinking of the Harvest 
gathered in - blessings

gathered in blessings
something to be grateful for,
when Autumn chill comes

as happiness 
drives out negativity
Autumn leaves drift by

still green those
September leaves blow free
squirrels scampering

up trees, on the window pane,
spider and web

cats love to sleep
anywhere they choose, chilly
