with the cats, indoors

squirrels climb the trees

on its journey to who knows
where - hunter's full moon

soon the clocks will change,
dark afternoons

sun edged rain clouds
sketch my loneliness in the
sky - feet on the ground

possibilities
enticingly out of reach
maybe tomorrow...

if it's meant to be, it will
