If you want to know someone, read their written work. I loved the cover! I delved into Birth by Andy N and met the young man who I know as Andy N, poet, writer, podcaster, and ambient musician.

This was a new Andy to me, a more innocent man about Manchester where the districts come to life as Andy describes his coming of age. His characters are well described and come to life through the writing. There is joy, sadness, but always humour and a certain sang-froid that he has carried into today's man.

Andy has a conversational style of writing, which puts you into the heart of the story right away. I found myself rooting for him when he got into trouble. The poet in him comes out in his prose, and that energetic mind moves the story along at a good pace.

I enjoyed the journey he took me on, and I am now eagerly awaiting the release of his follow-up novel, Death. Highly recommended.☆☆☆☆☆
