At last, I thought Natalie Goldberg would tell me the true secret of writing! This is another one of her memoirs where she mixes Zen and writing practice. She is a born storyteller, and I was, as usual, transported to the places she writes so vividly about.
I let her students' stories wash over me. Her Zen teaching is simple and full of authenticity. Did I find the true secret of writing? Yes, I did, but if I tell you now, I will deprive you of the journey of reading this book.

*This is the third Natalie Goldberg book I have recently read and it has inspired me to delve into some poetry by American poets. I have to confess to only having read some Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickenson and even less of Walt Whitman. I have been gifted a book by a dear friend of David Meltzer poetry, that will be my next review.*
