We will remember them en mass,
Those brave men and women who died,
So that we can live and love in freedom.
I will remember them in particular,
Pte Gordon Crick, my great uncle
Who died at Ypes in 1915.
To my colleagues, those four Greenfinches,
Who died during Northern Ireland's
bloody civil war, called 'The Troubles.'
F/Pte Eva Martin, 6UDR, killed 02/08/1974

When remembrance is personal
It runs very deep, and it forms you.
Lest we forget - we will remember them.
