Book bingo and mugs as prizes! The lovely writer Dan Forrester gave us a taster of his debut novel, Havock, and then he tested our brains with book bingo. With each book on the card came a question, and my friend, Carol Talbot, another writer, won with 9 correct answers. Well done Carol!
Held at Oldham Library and Gallery, there was tea, coffee, and biscuits, the event was well attended. We all tucked in.
Dan did a Q and A session so we could all glean how to write our first novels. Dan was as funny as always and generous with his advice.
Then it was book buying and signing time and with a free bookmark ( another good idea, Dan). We wandered off into the misty Oldham evening a tenner poorer but a new book richer just waiting to beckon us into Dan's world of Havock with it's motley crew of 'heroes' Dill, Wuzzbright and Colossus!
