Great Crime Writing
I loved getting to know the police detectives in this story as the author took us on a nostalgic trip to solve a murder that had taken place 37 years ago.
I also enjoyed the descriptions of Whitby past and present as if it too was a character in the story.
Wes Markin is a thorough crime writer and introduces us to all the suspects, and though there are a few red-herrings, DCI Frank Black discovers the truth in the end, ably assisted by his unusual neurodivergent DI, Gerry Carver and her assistance dog, Rylan.
I look forward to reading more in the series.
