When one of them can't keep their secret any longer, Samantha Hawthorne sets plans in motion that will have untold consequences for all of them.
Meanwhile, Atticus Priest's private investigations intrude into police matters involving his girlfriend, Mack, who is a DCI in the Salisbury Police Force.
Salisbury itself is like a character in the story, and the descriptions make you feel like you are actually there.
