24/12/24 LAST LINE IS THE DEEPEST
We are offering a feast of unfinished haiku for YOU to suggest end lines to during this festive time. The final line of any haiku is so often the most challenging and we thought this was a good way to experiment and explore ways to express the twist, the aha moment, however you want.
Our unfinished haiku are:
mistletoe
the perils of
sloppy kisses
at the wrong end
of the Christmas cracker
and that's no joke
turkey wishbone
greasy fingers, try
to snap it
toffees in the tin
chewing over remnants of
Christmas past
ding dong merrily
should I take my neighbours
some mince pies?
wrapping presents
where are the labels? why did
I buy festive string?
