The pulling back is already coming,
The rhetoric changes its timescales.
What can be done, may be done or may not.
Bombastic businessman has learnt new tricks
From his last sojourn in the White House.
He constructs his American box,
Of exclusion and nationalism.
His allies tremble at the threats to them.
Stopping wars may well be a good thing achieved.
But, is stopping the money going to
Bring about the sort of peace countries want?
Building walls is not the way to mend fences.
Will he alienate his allies against Russia?
Can his aides and advisors stop him?
