Your mum is a sacred incarnation
Who still lives on in your DNA.
She gave you love and laughter,
As she helped you on your way.
She was your wisest counsellor
When you sought out her advice.
She lived for all of her family,
Whether you were naughty or nice.
She wiped your tears when times
Were sad and told stories of her life.
She always cheered you up and
Absorbed all the family's strife.
Your mum helped you when she could.
Protected you with her shield of love.
She believed in you, was in your corner.
Now she will cheer you on from above.
You will still hear her joyous laughter
And the rich tones of her voice.
They will live on in your memories,
Knowing death was not her choice.
She would tell you not to be sad
And certainly not to grieve.
She wants you to celebrate her life,
Not cry because she had to leave.
So know her love will live on
And keep it inside your heart.
For this is where grief goes
When from a belovΓ©d mum we part.
