If you like your murders grisly and your characters, multi-dimentional, then this is the box set for you!
Michelle Kidd writes a well plotted series of murder mysteries in these four books. We get to know not only the flawed character of DI Jack MacIntosh but the equally flawed character of his brother, Stuart ' Mac' MacIntosh.
We encounter Jack's team and get to know them, too, over the course of the the four books. Some of the tropes are familiar while many are not.
We have well-rounded victims, a rescued victim, and villains, too. Michelle Kidd gets into the heads of all her characters which makes these four books a 5☆ read.
☆☆☆☆☆ Highly recommended reading.
