The Isle of the Dead by T G Reid is the 5th Book in the DCI Bone Scottish Murder Mysteries. In my opinion, it is the best so far.
It takes place during a bad storm, which means DCI Bone has to work with no power and no phones to solve the first of the murders.
The story is about a family’s tragedy and how a daughter must survive without the love of her life beside her. In book 5, we meet some new police and civilian characters and are taken through a well plotted crime story. There is one murder left unexplained, which time will reveal according to DCI Bone. I look forward to that in the forthcoming book(s.)
