Book 7 in the DCI Duncan Bone Scottish Crime Thrillers Series got better and better.
Back with his RCU (Rural Crime Unit), the team has to solve a gruesome murder and possible kidnap. We delve a little deeper into DCI Bone's PTSD, find out DS Mullens' father needs an operation at age 86 and are involved in DC Harper's 'Star Wars Themed' wedding to hand writing specialist Catriona.
DCI Bone ends up with three suspects in custody after a paramedic barely escapes with his life as the killer strikes again. Sometimes, though, killers hide in plain sight, which makes them more difficult to apprehend.
Does Duncan's new PTSD hallucination have the clue to the elusive killer's identity? There are lots of twists and turns in a complicated, well plotted story.
☆☆☆☆☆ Highly recommended reading.
