When I flick the switch.
One headlight beams
the other is broken,
I wish this damn trip
was over, the children
brawl, our hound howls.
That Bowie song, heroes,
that blend of his music
makes me hum along.
A thought races in my head,
As I wear a worried frown.
I need to get out of this
hood where kids shoot up!
