TAKE THE CHANCE
Love can be lost in a silent moment.
That feeling that lights you up with joy,
Can be pinched out like a candle's flame sent
To the eternal darkness - cruel ploy!
Cast off like an unwanted sock or shoe.
She shrieked like a banshee into the night.
Curled in foetal position - her world blue.
Wishing herself deaf and without her sight.
Love can be recovered from, given time.
It is a long, hard road to come back from,
But given space and distance, she will climb
Back into the world, a better outcome.
Love can be here and gone very fleeting.
We all must take the chance without bleating.
