I almost didn't read this book as the theme is Domestic Violence, but I am glad I did.

Despite its rawness to which I can relate, I found a lot of the poems inspiring and uplifting. I particularly liked the one about the inner child. 

Unfortunately, my experience of domestic violence and gaslighting occurred while I had two children living in the same household as my abusive partner. 

This book made me cry because yet another woman had to go through coercive control, domestic violence, and being gaslighted. ALL women and men should read this book.

I leave you with this quotation, which sums up how I feel nowadays:
"I know the map of my soul, and I hear it's calling."
