I just love to be a lady who lunches
Because I have lots of leisure time.
I am retired - I don't pull any punches,
I just love to be a lady who lunches.
I like an early dinner, I have hunches,
That afternoon tea would be fine.
I just love to be a lady who lunches
Because I have lots of leisure time!
But please don't mention breakfast!
That's too early in the day for me.
I don't get up early, I won't be typecast.
So, please don't mention breakfast!
Morning appointments leave me aghast,
Too much like getting up for work, you see.
But please don't mention breakfast!
