I think I was a goth
before it was fashionable!
When I was young, my
favourite dress was a
black midi-dress that I
wore with high-heeled
black patent lace-up knee
length boots - my Dad,
used to ask why I was
going out in my 'widow's
weeds' I used to laugh.
Before that gothic described
a certain type of architecture
and later, I would avidly read
19th century 'gothic novels'.
Nowadays, I think I would
like to dress up and go to
one of Whitby's Goth weekends!
