This book written by the talented authors that make up the M S Morris partnership focuses on the investigation of the attempted murder of Sam Earnshaw.
As usual, we have the enigmatic DCI Tom Raven investigating. Meanwhile, Becca, his talented DS, is side-lined to investigating theft.
Raven has more than he bargains for with the dynamic Greg Earnshaw's family and his family business, the Salt Castle Brewery. What lies beneath the thriving business? Is everything as it seems?
The authors, meanwhile, continue with Raven's troubled private life and that of his team of Becca, Jess, and Tony.
Scarborough and the East Coast are well described and are like characters themselves.
The story is well plotted and twists and turns before Raven and his team solve the mystery but not before a lot of tragic
deaths occur. An excellent read. I can't wait to move on to Book 4.
