Beth and her son, Leo, are fleeing domestic violence, so when she sees what she has bought at auction up close, she realises it is a big project.
Willow cottage is in an idyllic Cotswolds village where the inhabitants are quirky and eccentric. Jack, the only male she encounters under 30 does not give her a good impression and Beth is missing her best friend Carly and her boyfriend, Fergus who is deaf and back in London.
Bella Osborne deals with domestic violence against both women and men with great compassion.
I particularly enjoyed the humour she injected into misunderstood signing between Carly and her deaf boyfriend, Fergus.
This book has love regained, and some laugh out loud moments between Beth and Jack.
☆☆☆☆☆ Highly recommended reading.
