Which is worst, one son dead
Or the other cut off from me?
As Evan's anniversary passes,
I try not to give up hope on
Stuart, parent blaming for
Everything that is wrong in
Their lives is reaching epidemic
Levels in society; I took my
Own problems on board and
Resolved them, I did not blame
My parents. I have learnt lessons.
I have made mistakes, but I have
Worked on myself, becoming very
Resilient and empowered. It is a
Cop out to blame your parents,
We did our best with what we
Knew at the time as you did with
Your children. Are you the perfect
Parent? It is never too late until
It is - no one lives forever. Reach
Out, my door is always open, I live
In the hope of reconciliation before
I die...

* Adult child estangement from their parents continues to grow as adult children resort to parent blaming for everything that is wrong in their lives; egged on by some members of the medical profession. Parent/children relationships are difficult enough without this insidious societal blame culture. Often, a spouse or other family member encourages these beliefs in the adult child, but always with an ulterior motive, always with their own agenda*
