blackbirds trill their song,
plaintive 'baa' of a lost lamb,
a baby's first breath

last note, last post,
lest we forget those who died
so we may live free

veterans stand out
in the rain while the big wigs
have a canopy
No. 4
the oboe of dawn
cold autumn silence
smell of first coffee
No. 5
living next door to
a bakery - that sublime
smell - freshly baked bread
No. 6
the golden hue of
dawn rises nobly from
hidden horizon
