🧙It is not generally known but witches use prayers in our practise. Some may call them incantations or spells. Witches have always known the power of the spoken word written in rhyme which gives the words, power, energy, and intention. New Year is the ideal time to write a prayer for both the individual and our blesséd Mother Earth. Here is this crone's - why not write one of your own?🧙
A Prayer for the New Year
Light that shines through stars and stone,
May peace descend upon every land.
As above, so here—where seeds are sown,
May love arise from human hand.
Where borders burn and tempers flare,
Let unity be gently and lovingly grown.
In every breath, a whispered prayer—
No soul forgotten, no one alone.
Acceptance of what we can't control,
A rising up with a will to what we can.
Our words should resound and roll
Into the ether, the universal plan.
Forgive the wounds we failed to tend,
The words we spoke in fear or pride.
Let grace like rain begin to mend
The aching rifts we hold inside.
Teach us to see with wiser eyes,
To listen more than our opinions, defend.
To find the truth that underlies
The need to break, the will to bend.
To be kind to ourselves and to others,
To show compassion to our fellow men.
We are all human sisters and brothers,
May we all possess the power of the pen!
As the moon reflects the sunlit flame,
So, may our hearts reflect the whole.
Above, the stars, and below, Mother Earth
One sky, one earth, one sacred soul.
