Now is my time in the spotlight,
After years of putting others first.
Self care is not selfish - it's a right.
When insomnia starts to bite,
And arthritis pain does its worst,
Now is my time in the spotlight.
For I am made resilient and my light,
Glows from my heart not coerced.
Self care is not selfish - it's a right
My purpose in life is to shine bright,
Into the darkest places - to burst.
Now is my time in the spotlight.
A light bringer still full of fight,
Choosing my battles is no curse.
Self care is not selfish - it's a right
Every day I am kind with my light.
I shine it until it's all dispersed.
