Another year has flown on by,
With moments of joy and sorrow.
Some to make me smile, some to cry,
Another year has flown on by.
The wars and bloodshed make me sigh.
Man's inhumanity to man each tomorrow.
Another year has flown on by,

Will we ever learn the lessons of the past?
Or are we destined to repeat them?
Has the dye been eternally cast?
Will we ever learn the lessons of the past?
All the dictators - the worst type of iconoclast.
To be got rid of, if not now, when?
Will we ever learn the lessons of the past?
Or are we destined to repeat them?
Can we not march forward for peace?
Oust the greedy psychopaths forever.
So that killing and wars can cease.

Or will we annihilate the planet - decrease
Each human life and spirit forever?
