#haiku #poetry
* As part of a webinar that focused on how the arts impact on Mental Health last night (21/07/2020) I chose to do the workshop, Are you a tree or a leaf? The workshop was facilitated by Amanda Barnsley White. You can read more about this on the page of the same title.
Here are my eight haiku that I finished today (22/07/2020).
Tree 1
Weeping willow tree,
wind bends me - I am graceful,
a ballerina.

Tree 2
My roots grow deep down,
join up with other willows,
a secret network.

Tree 3
Lots of birds alight
upon flexible branches.
I love their singing.

Tree 4
My bark is smooth,
to the touch, which I shrink
away from-disease!
©The Vixen of Verse, 2020.
Tree 5
I would tell humans,
to be kind, to show love and
compassion to Earth.
©The Vixen of Verse, 2020.
Tree 6
I live forever?
if not, for hundreds of years.
Please, look after me.

Tree 7
Divinity lives
in my roots, bark and green leaves.
Please share yours with mine.

Tree 8
I weep for mankind,
as my green leaves touch
water- healing work!
