#justsaying
Some weekends contain small, irritating incidents that annoy and sometimes hurt me.
They seem to come in threes! The first was receiving conflicting information from the Oldham Council Elections Office and then being told I would have to vote in person on the day! I am disabled with mobility issues which is why I need a postal vote. This office's total lack of disability awareness is staggering! I have made a complaint which I feel sure won't be resolved to my satisfaction.
Number two: my on-going problems with delivery drivers. This time with Relay. The driver delivered a small package to a totally different building to the one I live in! I live up one flight of stairs, all he needed to do was walk up and post it through my letterbox. Instead I had to go looking for it at my neighbours building across the street.
Number three:
Following my poem 'Disappeared,' in which I bemoan our ageist society, it was brought home very forcibly when I was with a group of neighbours and I was chatting to one and in mid sentence she turned her back on me and moved to talk to someone else!!! No, "I'm sorry, but I really need to talk to ____ as a matter of urgency." Cut me off in mid sentence! Just total rudeness and indifference to my feelings.
Is it any wonder I feel increasingly 'disappeared' and invisible in today's society?
Common sense, good practice and good manners are as rare as hen's teeth!
Unless you have stories that would restore my faith in human nature? Please comment below if you have. I need cheering up.😎

We live in a ‘me’ oriented age right now. Can’t stand the world’s in narcissism right now. It’s all around us everywhere.
