June Poems No. 4 2020

Brave Soul – A Triolet

Where are you that brave soul once possessed?

Shrivelled away like unpicked fruit on the winter vine.

You have left me angry and so dispossessed.

Where are you that brave soul once possessed?

Why should you return, even at my behest?

I implore the Universe, return what is mine.

Where are you that brave soul once possessed?

Shrivelled away like unpicked fruit on the winter vine.
