Luna Moon - Rhyming Couplets.
Oft times I have written of the moon,
In February, March April, May and June.
I particularly like the moon when full.
Each has a name, they never seem dull.
The phases of the moon are all different.
Dark, waning and waxing each with its intent.
For me, the moon is Luna and feminine.
She influences women's cycles, she feels like kin.
She controls the time and the tides.
As across our night sky, she rides.
I know she is a reflection of the sun's light
But for me, she invokes magic, in the mundane night.
I whisper my words of prayer and magick spell.
She always answers and makes my plans work well.
If you have a secret desire, whisper it to the full moon.
Treat her with respect and she will grant you any boon.

And now, our (optional) prompt. Iβve seen some fairly funny twitter conversations lately among poets who are coming to terms with the fact that they keep writing poems about the moon. For better or worse, the moon seems to exert a powerful hold on poets, as this large collection of moon-themed poems suggests. Today, Iβd like to challenge you to stop fighting the moon. Lean in. Accept the moon. The moon just wants whatβs best for you and your poems. So yes β write a poem that is about, or that involves, the moon.
Happy writing! http://www.napowrimo.net
