A sad day for our nation, our
beloved monarch, Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II died in bed
at Balmoral surrounded by her
heirs and family, now reunited
with her beloved husband,
HRH Prince Phillip. She lived
a life of unflinching service
and duty to her people here in
the United Kingdom and far
and wide in the Commonwealth.
The Queen aceeded to the
throne when she was only 25
and has reigned for 70 years
celebrating silver, gold, diamond
and finally a platinum jubilee.
Mother, grandmother and great
grandmother she has weathered
many personal tragedies with
great dignity and forbearance,
love and compassion. She will
be missed by all her subjects.
I was proud to serve my Queen
and Country, God bless you ma'am.
