I loved you the first time I saw you.
You were tall, dark and handsome, you set my heart on fire.

You were dark Heathcliff to my Cathy.
You were proud Mr Darcy to my Lizzie Bennett.

You made my pulse race, I was speechless.
When you held me, your kisses took all my breath away.

Now memories of another life.
A time out of time when I was young and so naive.

Yet in old age I long for that love.
Maybe a gentler version but I miss that passion.
