Are we on the cusp of no return,
With climate change, will the planet burn?
Will the temperature rise, records overturn?
Will we die in floods as water swirls and churns?
Are we at the point of no turning back?
Are our apathy and lies causing the earth to crack?
Do all of our world leaders - foresight lack?
Gaining power making money, unaware they can't backtrack.
Has Greta Thunburg's protests been in vain?
More heat comes every year and more rain.
The seas are warming, and the sea life does not gain.
False promises are all the world leaders' powerful refrain.
Will they take us all the way to extinction?
Watch our skies go from blue to permanent crimson
Will we shrivel up and die beacause of their indistinction?
I am glad I will not be here to see mass annihilation.
