another year
has flown past - my countdown
to seventy-first
No. 2
happy New Year
we begin with hope
end in despair
No. 3
happy New Year
the bells ring out
for whom do they toll?
No. 4
endings bring peace
beginnings cause us
to hope anew
No. 5
happy New Year
fireworks in the park
champagne bubbles
No. 6
we end, we begin,
each day, a gift
drain to the dregs
