MYTHIC DRAGON
Dragon of the four elements
with your fiery breath and
magnificent wings and a
fearsome killing tail. You
inherit tales and legends and
live in the mythic shadows.
When I need strength just to
carry on I luxuriate in your
scaley armour wrapped around
my weak and wasting body.
When I need to speak out against
injustice, I summon your fiery tongue!
On your wings, I fly high into the
stormy sky, oblivious to the slings
and arrows of social media, a free
being, no computer holds me in
it's metal thrall, no AI takes my
mind as it's electronic prisoner.
You are my inspiration when I
need to unleash my mind from
it's human mundaneness and seek
the heart of imagination that will
connect me to divine consciousness.
You combine me to the magic of life!
"Oh Dragon! You live in my soul."
Your sacred song flows in my blood.
Your fire heats my passion and that
killing tale keeps me safe in this
chaotic patriarchy gone mad with war.
Mythic or not, my spirit salutes you.
