Days are needed for rest from pain.
When exhaustion strikes after sleep,
Sometimes the meds don't make a gain.
Days are needed for rest from pain.
When a fog clouds the fighting brain,
And depression makes you weep.
Days are needed for rest from pain.
When exhaustion strikes after sleep.

Some days it's enough to rise from bed,
Just to keep body and soul together.
It doesn't matter what others have said,
Some days it's enough to rise from bed.
Manage to feed the cats ‐ break bread,
Sip water, sleep and avoid pressure.
Some days it's enough to rise from bed
Just to keep body and soul together.
