Just a recap on my complaint to Oldham Council regarding the total fiasco about applying for a postal vote, being told by a member of staff it had gone through, and I had it for 3 years. Then when I didn't get my postal vote being told by another member of staff that I wasn't registered. THEN being told that I would have to go to the Polling Station in person. Imagine any council employee saying that to a disabled person! This is why I NEED a postal vote in the first place.
Now they are trying to 'fob me off' calling it 'a service request.' No, it is a lack of service COMPLAINT and I have asked for it to be a proper Stage 1 complaint. Do your jobs, that's what you get paid for.
It is a sad fact that the 2010 Disability Discrimination Act has been in law for 16 years and still we are treated like second class citizens.
