📚Book Review📚 – The Strawberry House by Rachel Burton

#book #review

Rachel Burton's charming, well written story The Strawberry House takes us on a journey from the summer of 1938 until post-war 1953.

The Kerrigan Family characters are well drawn, as is the lovely Henry Aldridge.

This is a love story that begins in 1938 when Camilla and Henry first meet. In a summer, when they fall in love, dark forces are gathering across Europe. At Montagu Manor, the pre-war class system is well illustrated in the characters of Sir Phillip and Lady Susan Kerrigan.

The summer ends in tragedy, and the war years spread our characters to the four winds until an article written by Henry in the Oxford newspaper brings them back together.

Following The Butterfly Garden, this is another enthralling story of love and secrets by the author.
